Crispy Halloween snack!

Roasted pumpkin's seeds

Remember the Halloween pumpkin I made on Sunday?

Double pleasure from making haloween pumpking - great decoration and healthy snack from leftovers ;)

From leftovers of pumpkin's inside I made simple easy crunchy snack! I know that Halloween is all about candies, chocolate and other sweet stuff, but I want to present some heathier alternative ;)

I selected pumpkin seeds from other leftovers.

I dried seeds on a normal paper, didn't have baking paper at home

Rinsed it with water and let for the night to dry.

150 degrees and approximately 40 minutes in the oven - that is the time and temperature which your seeds will need to be crispy and tasteful

Next day I put seeds in the oven for about 40 minutes. From time to time I shaked seeds.

Pumpkin seeds are rich zinc and lecitine

And that's all! What I get was a crispy snack, perfect for Halloween movie night!
All natural and full in vitamins! :)

Double tasting in the morning

sharon fruit and MFactor Dark Chocolate protein powder

Today I had two things to taste for the first time - sharon fruit and MFactor protein powder. So I used that two things for preparing my morning porridge.

Sharon fruit - looks like an orange potato, isn't it? ;)

Sharon fruit, called also as an eastern apple, is a fruit which looks like tomato, has consistency like a melon and sweet taste like... hmm peach or apricot?

Cutted sharon fruit
This fruit has about 70 kcal in 100g, so it is low in calories. It is rich in carotene, vitamin A, C and calcium.

This rich orange colour is awesome!

I cut peeled sharon into pieces and mixed it with my oats and blackberries.

A little pack which came to me from MyRevolution yesterday

As I mentioned before, there were two things tasting today. Second one was a sample of MFactor protein powder which MyRevolution send to me.

MFactor in 1kg container
What is different about MFactor? The source of protein in it. It is made from vegetable protein based on peas protein isolate. It is a great option for everyone who is allergic (or don't like) milk protein.
MFactor in 4kg container
MFactor has a rich dark chocolate taste and it is really thick after preparation. In 30 g dose you can find 23g protein, 1,5g carbs, 1,6g fat and 110 kcal.

clean breakfast for a good start of the day!

It was the great start for day! Hope you start yours also good!

Colourful casserole

colourful dish - meat&vegetables casserole

Today's recipe is about making quick, filling and low fat casserole. I named it colourful because of variety of vegetables I used to prepare it. It will enjoy both your eyes and stomach :)

Choose good quality minced meat, always see the label and fat, salt and water percentage.

First I pre-roast minced meat in the oven. Try to choose a meat which has no more that 9% fat. Seasoned meat with salt, pepper, garlic and other spices which you prefer.
Roast meat for approximately 10 minutes. No additional fat would be needed, but remember about having a good oven-pan.

Slice potatoes and cook them only for few minutes in a boiling, salted water
My choice of vegetables - eye enjoying green broccoli and orange carrot :)

When meat is the oven, there is a time for vegetables. I used carrot, broccoli and paprika. I chopped also potatoes and boild them for 5 minutes. They suppose to be only pre-boiled, the rest of the process will be continued in the oven.

Pre-roasted meat covered with paprika

First I putted paprika on the meat, then other vegetables. I covered everything with potatoes.

Add rest of vegetables, I choose carrot and brokkoli, but you can replace the with onion, cauliflower and other

Potatoes on the top

The last part is about souse making.

Cream which I used for sousce, this particular one has 18% of fat

This souse is optional. If you counting calories and have very restrict diet, you don't have to use this souse. However, I didn't use so much cream and cheese here, so if in moderation it won't be harmful for your diet :)

Small amount won't destroy your diet, but if you're a fan of big portions, consider choosing light cheese ;)

I mixed 2 spoons of cream with shredded cheese. Then I add spices of choice (in my case it was salt, pepper and paprika). I spread the souse over potatoes.

Ready casserole after 40 minutes in the oven

Casserole should be roasted in oven for 40-50 minutes in 200 degrees. Souse will mixed with potatoes and give the dish a great, home-made taste :)

Yummy!

Myo Pack

Today's pack: Muscle Brownie, MyoProtein Mocca Chocolate and Chunk of Protein Bar

Happy delivery today!
After little protein powder crisis, I restored my supplies ;)

3 kg og MyoProtein Mocca Chocolate

This time I ordered 3kg of MyoProtein instead of those small containers which I ordered before

With pack there also came 2 different types od protein bars.
Muscle Brownie (such a marketing name!) and Chunk of Protein.

Both are rich in protein, but also in calories. For me only half a portion would be suitable for some snack ;)
Nutrition value of Chunk of Protein. Far to much for such a small girl for me, but a half of that would be ok ;)

Simple dinner's pizza

Simple&easy dinner's pizzas

There are some evenings where I want eat something warm for my last meal, especially when days are getting colder.
Yesterday I prepared simple pizza. Or just pizza variations because mine didn't have dought made with yeast.

Use whatever you have in your fridge - onions, different kind of cheese, shrimps and other.

I used spelt lompers (norwegian toritillas), tomato souse, ham, paprika, champignons and lot's of cheese ;)

While I pre-fried champignons I chopped other ingredients

I pre-fry champinons on a pan for about 5 minutes. I spiced them with salt and paprika and wait until they loose water.

My pizzas' base

I heat oven to 200 degrees. On each tortilla I put some souse, then champignons, ham and paprika. I covered all with cheese.

I used classic cheese, but you can choose from mozzarella, cottage cheese or any different kind of cheese

I put pizzas to the oven for about 10 minutes.

You can roast them even more than 10 minutes to have more crispy bottom :)

And it's done - so simple, so easy! :)
Have a nice evening everyone!
